Construction Management is more typically defined as an advisor role in a construction project and is used most frequently with non-profits where “in-kind” gifting is part of the bid equation or on extremely large projects. Builders by Design is experienced in administering construction utilizing the Construction Management or CM approach. In this contracting arrangement, the owner usually shares some risk for the overall cost of the project, but the CM earns a smaller fee. There are many project types that are excellent candidates for CM and we recommend this approach when viable.
